Diana Gertrude Seed, 79 of Jackson Township, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. Diana was born on April 28, 1941, in Akron, Ohio the daughter of the late Francis and Gertrude (Collins) McDonald. She graduated from St. Vincent High School in 1959. Following her high school graduation, she attended W. Howard Nicol School of Practical Nursing, where she received her LPN. Diana led a life of service to others and had a passion for studying the Bible. Diana loved spending time with her family, cooking, collecting cookbooks, and bargain shopping. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Seed in 2009, whom she shared 50 years of marriage before his passing; granddaughter, Amie & daughter-in-law, Jill Justice Seed; and great-grandson, Adrian Santos. She is survived by her children and spouses, Michael (Kathleen) Seed, William (Paula) Seed, Lawrence (Theresa) Seed, Margaret (Michael) Morris, Linda (David) Sutherland, Kathleen (Rodney) Yoho, and Terrance Seed; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters and spouses, Charles McDonald, Anthony McDonald, Caral Yakubick, Sheila Berner, Judy Flohr, Mary (Dale) Tompkins, Patrick (Ann) McDonald, Margaret (Ray) Boswell, Anne (Ed) Hegnauer, and Robert (Debra) McDonald; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Diana’s life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 3 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home: 1100 Wales Rd. NE, Massillon, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 – 3 p.m. before the service. Those unable to attend the service may click on Facebook Live Streaming at 3 p.m. to watch the service. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are also required. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Lymphangiomatosis and Gorham’s Disease Alliance at www.lgdalliance.org or St. Jude’s Children’s Research at www.stjude.org or a charity of one’s choice.
