Dennis A. McIntyre, 72, of Canton, passed away on January 19, 2024. He was born in Canton, Ohio, on March 27, 1951, to the late Jack and Alice (Mullet) McIntyre.
He was a graduate of Canton South High School and was known all his life for being a “jack-of-all-trades”.
Denny was an honest man. He always spoke his mind and had a witty comment. He loved the simple things in life, found humor in the silliest jokes, loved to socialize, and constantly fed his addiction to coffee.
In his earlier years, Denny was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing and hunting.
He enjoyed classic movies and westerns—his favorite cowboy was John Wayne. But when it came to music, he was a dedicated Elvis Presley fan.
He is survived by his daughters, Dawn McIntyre Decker (Kris), Tammy Long, Cheryl McIntyre (Sean); grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Carson Harrell, Patty Stewart, Chandler Mullen, Griffin Decker, Xander Mullen, Kaitlyn Long, Kiera Decker and Lily Mullen; siblings, Jack McIntyre (Mitzi), Laura Hixson (Terry), John Gates, Janice Jovingo (Randall Comer) and Sandra Santilli (Daniel).
In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his brother, Randy McIntyre.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 26th at 4:30 p.m. at Mayfield Manor, 3844 11th St SW, Canton, OH 44710.
