Dennis B. Gleason

Dennis B. Gleason, 83 of Notre Dame, IN, formerly of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018. Dennis was born on September 13, 1934 in Akron, IA. He was the son of the late James and Marie (Albert) Gleason. Dennis was a 1952 graduate of Washington High School. Dennis retired from Fleming Foods in 1996. Dennis enjoyed golfing, slow pitch soft ball, Massillon Tiger Football and Notre Dame Football and Tennis. He was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was a past president of the Holy Name Society and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Gleason whom he shared 51 years of marriage; brothers and sisters, Michael, James, Joseph, Steve, and Jerry Gleason, Betty Rohn, Sylvia Deutshman, Eleanor Carrisi and infant sister, Mary. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Patrick Gleason, Michael (Charise) Gleason, Timothy (Tracy) Gleason, Thomas (Elizabeth) Gleason, Sean (Cynthia) Gleason, Mary Kathleen (Charles) Ruck, and Diane (Timothy) Wright; grandchildren, Shannon and Sean Michael, Jake and Mallory, Dennis, Charles and Margaret, Sean Anthony, Quinn, and Aerin, Abigail, Emma, and Henry, Josette, and Agatha; and great grandchildren, Jackson and Sadiee. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
