Delores Mae Halsey

Delores M. Halsey, 81, passed away unexpectedly on February 14, 2019. She was born on September 3, 1937 in Canton, Ohio to the late Earl and Mildred (Wallace) Betz. She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she attended for many years. In her spare time, Delores loved to bake cookies and cakes for her family to enjoy, especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life. She was also known for her green thumb which was evident when you saw her garden and the beautiful flowers she grew. Delores’s greatest passion in life was her family and she was a devoted and loving wife, mom and grandma who will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughter Spring (Joel) Boughman; granddaughters Krystal (Jake) Tolin and Marissa (Fiancé Michael Maury) Boughman; great-grandchildren Casey and Eliana; siblings Kenneth (Faith) Betz, Kathleen (Jejo) Akalin, Gloria Ahmed, Frank (Peggy) Betz, Howard (Beckie) Betz, Darlene (Terry) Marshall and Barbara (Donald) Fain. In addition to her parents, Delores was preceded in death by her loving husband Jerry A. Halsey; siblings William Betz, Earl Betz, Tom Betz, Gary Betz and Sharon Gindlesperger. A private family service will be held at a later date.
