Delores “Dee” Baker, age 91 of Sandusky, Ohio, formerly of Massillon, died on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the Ohio Veteran’s Home in Sandusky. She was born on July 29, 1917 in Kokomo, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Emery & Goldie (Kaser) Dudley. She had been a Massillon area resident since 1946 and moved to Sandusky 5 years ago. She served her country during World War II in The WAVE division of the U.S. Navy. She retired from the Tuslaw School system where she was a cook. She was a member of First Christian Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Baker, her sister Evelyn White and her brothers, James & Ernest Dudley. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Robert & Frances Baker of Sandusky and their children, Richard (Tomomi) Baker of Sterling Heights, MI and Katherine (Michael) Masters of Centreville, VA and her son and daughter in law. Gary & Lomin Baker of Massillon and their children, Bryan (Holly) Baker of Massillon and Kara (Scott) Dodson of Massillon, 12 great grandchildren, her brother Lyman “Ed” (Annie) Dudley of Kokomo and her sister Shirley Morrison of Kokomo. Funeral services will take place on Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Newman Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-3 P.M. Memorials are suggested to either, Stein Hospice in Sandusky, the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky or First Christian Church in Massillon.
