Delores A. Gordon

Delores A. Gordon (Rusty), 84, of Massillon passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010. She was born on September 8, 1925 in Harlem, Montana the daughter of the late Harold and Alice (Needum) Cowan. Delores was Director of the R.S.V.P. Program at The Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Wolf Point Montana. She was also employed by Action For Eastern Montana. She had also been a sewing teacher for the Singer Sewing Co. in Massillon, and enjoyed her experiences truck driving for Airborne Express. Delores enjoyed people, especially family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her pets, traveling, gardening, her walks, dancing, and Montana. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by Joseph Gordon Jr., brothers Gene and Keith Cowan and children Betty Jo, Jimmy, and Jack Gordon. She is survived by sons, Joseph (Paula) Gordon III of Massillon and Jerry Gordon of Lakeworth, FL: grandchildren, Mark (Nancy) Gordon of Hawaii, Jeff (Juli) Gordon, Tammy (Gene) Adams both of Cincinnati; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Wesley, Elijiah, and Elliot Adams, Cameron, Caitlin, and Sophia Gordon; step-grandchildren, Matthew and Josephine Saracina, and Morgan Dailey; longtime companion Davour Nincevic. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 2, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Massillon Baptist Temple located at Overlook and 12th Street in Massillon. Immediately following the service friends are invited to join the family at the church for a luncheon in her honor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stark Co. Humane Society.
