Della M. Hartong

Della M. Hartong, age 95 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. She was born on January 22, 1919 in Canton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Otto and Della (Bentzel) Wuske. Della was a member of Forty Corners Church of God and the Women of the Church of God. She enjoyed traveling and with her late husband, Harold Hartong, belonged to the Stark County Cabin Cruiser Club and Avion Travel Club. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Wuske, Gladys Gerber, Florence Brown, Dorothy Wenger, Elna Williams, Berniece Pry and brothers, Robert Wuske and Donald Wuske. She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Dorothea Hartong. She is survived by her daughter Sandra J. Prentice, her sons, Daniel Lee (Carol) Hartong and David T. Hartong, 8 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A service to commemorate the life of Della Hartong will take place on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at Forty Corners Church of God with Pastor Jonathan Holloway officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 P.M. and on Saturday at the church one hour before the service.
