Dawn M. Simonson

Dawn M. Simonson, 73, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2021. She was born in Canton on June 10, 1947 to the late Augustus and Grace (Bonewit) Kozauer. Dawn was a graduate of Central Catholic High School , Class of 1965. She retired from First Merit Bank. She loved to play golf, travel, quilt, sew and spend the colder months in Myrtle Beach. Dawn is survived by her husband, Donald W. Simonson, whom she married on December 27, 1986; children, Kerry Simonson, Deanna (George Oliver) Phillips, K.C. (Julie) Simonson, Barrett (Misty) Phillips, Dr. Kelly Simonson and Anissa (Denis Menard) Phillips; and ten grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 2pm-4pm in the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon. A private family service will be held with burial in Rosehill Memorial Gardens. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are required.
