Dawn K. Houmard

Dawn K. Houmard, age 67 of Navarre, passed away on April 18, 2021. Dawn was born on October 16, 1953 in Bedford, Ohio to Robert and Kathleen (Hewitt) Boley. She graduated from RC Chamberlain High School. To Dawn, family meant everything, and she was a “mom” to everyone. She was a caregiver to many children, grandchildren, exchange students, and neighborhood children. Dawn was a member of the YFU (Youth for Understanding Exchange Program) for over 15 years. She was an avid gardener, a lover of animals, especially dogs and horses, and enjoyed horseback riding. Dawn is preceded in death by her father, husband, Laurence W. Houmard I, and daughter, Corinne Haney. She is survived by her mother, children, Laurence W. Houmard II, Stephen (Erika) Houmard, Carrie Powell, Robert (Deissy) Houmard, Justin (Audra) Houmard, Nick (Jessica) Rohr, Aryn (Josh Baus) Houmard, Samantha Houmard, and Jessica (Jon) Rose-Caron, 24 grandchildren, and siblings, Kevin (Kathy) Boley, Robert (Kelley) Boley, and Laurie (Ken) Hall. The family learned this morning that a family member tested positive for covid, at this point, the services have been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4-5 p.m. at her home, 14710 Stanwood St. SW, Navarre, Ohio 44662. A celebration of life will follow at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society or Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation.
