David W. Mitson

David W. Mitson age 53 of Massillon passed away October 15, 2010 at Affinity Medical Center. He was born July 8, 1957 in Oklahoma City, OK to Ben & Dolores (Benson) Mitson. He was a 1976 graduate of Oakwood High School and furthered his education at National Institute of Technology where he obtained his Technology Degree and Fishers Control International where he received his Industrial Process Degree. Following school he enlisted in the Air Force and received an Honorable Discharge. He married Elizabeth Waers in April 1979. Dave was employed by AGA Gas and was an Instrumental Specialist. His hobbies include fishing, camping and finishing model rockets. Dave took pleasure in creating works of art for his family and friends. Dave will be missed by his two children, Jesse D. Mitson of Canton and Mrs. Emily (Bryan) Heden of Massillon; two grandchildren, Kurt and Kennedy; his parents, Ben & Dolores Mitson of North Canton; sister, Connye (late Jeff) Cunningham of North Canton; two brothers, Les W. (Mindi) Mitson of Canton and Christopher Mitson of Canton. A Funeral Service for family and friends will be Monday (October 25, 2010) 11:30 AM at Bethel Temple Assembly of God (711 25th NW, Canton, OH), Rev. Terry Kirschman will officiate. Burial will be at Rose Hill Memorial Garden. Friends are invited to call from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at the church on Monday.
