David Karl Walton

David Karl Walton, 77, from Massillon, Ohio went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 30, 2014 at home; while being comforted and surrounded by his wife and family. David was born on June 8, 1937 in Dover, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Walton. David was a hard worker, loving husband, father and grandfather. He lived his life passionately for his family, they were his world. David raised two of his grandchildren, Alexander Todd Snyder and Kaytlyn Jaye Marie Snyder after the passing of his daughter, Karla. He was the most kind and caring, respectful to all and a genuine gentleman. He loved to work in his yard, listen to country music and watch western movies. He worked for Republic Steel in Massillon, retiring after 43 years of service and attended Calvary Baptist Church, Massillon, OH. He will be greatly missed, but we all rejoice that he is walking and seeing with God in Heaven. Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by his daughter, Karla Sue Walton (Todd Snyder), and four of his siblings. David is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Grace (McCullough) Walton; and children, Kimberly Jo Walton (Lou Popovich), Edna Jane Walton, Darlene Kaye Fleming, Karl Allen Walton, Robert Van Hamrick (Kathy), Lavonne Renee Hamrick (David Maxheimer), and Steven Roy Hamrick (Carrie) and 53 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Wyema (Walton) Smart, Earl Walton and Charles Walton; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of David's life will be held on Saturday 11AM at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Pastors' Tim Mishler and Tom Mishler will be officiating. Interment will follow at Dover Burial Park. Family and friends may visit from 10-11AM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in honor of his late daughter, Karla Walton, to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
