David H. Hartwick

David Hartwick, age 73, surrounded by his loving family went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 05, 2015. He was born in Canton on January 26, 1942 to Evelyn Hartwick and the late Harry Hartwick. He married Carolyn Sue Jacobs on September 26, 1966 and they shared 47 wonderful years together until her passing on April 25, 2013. David was a Carpenter for 25 years before co-founding Tri-State Mobility Company in 1984, and most recently was the owner and General Manager of Tri-State Elevators, a family owned business. In his spare time he loved traveling with his wife, and as a former Drag Racer, enjoyed watching the races. He will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. David is survived by his two sons Brian Hartwick and Kevin (Nye) Hartwick, whom he was very proud of; his granddaughters Ziggy Grace and Chloe Bean Hartwick; his mother Evelyn Hartwick; his sisters Diane Basham and Darlene (Sam) Crawford as well as a host of nieces nephews and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Monday, February 09, 2015 at 11a.m. Pastor Delaney Young officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 08, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service.
