David G Staaf

David G. Staaf, age 79 of Massillon passed away September 28, 2016. He was born June 24, 1937 in Youngstown to the late Glenn W. & Sally (Hopkins) Staaf. After high school he joined the US Marines. Dave served in Viet Nam and retired after 20 years with an Honorable Discharge. In 1982 he and Linda moved to Massillon. He will be remembered as an avid sports fan, animal lover and for his sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Linda Staaf in 2011. He is survived by four sons: Robert (Roseann) Staaf, William (Kathy) Staaf, James (Karla) Staaf and John (Amber Meier) Staaf. He has five grandchildren and one great grandchild. A Memorial Service will be 1:30 PM Saturday at the Paquelet Funeral Home. His final resting place will be Oakwood Cemetery.
