David "Dave" M. Keffler

March 31, 1948 — October 17, 2021

David “Dave”, M. Keffler, age 73 of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 17, 2021. He was born in Canton, on March 31, 1948 to the late Bernard and Beatrice (Joliat) Keffler. He was a 1967 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. He married Rose M. Tyler on May 15, 1971 and they recently celebrated their 50th Anniversary. Dave served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After his military service he worked as a Tool and Die Maker until his retirement. He enjoyed, camping, hunting, boating, playing hockey and having a good time with his family and friends. Dave was devoted to his faith and was long time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Massillon, a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus and an Eagle Scout. Dave was fun loving, a hard worker, who liked to get things done and someone who always put his family first. He will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving, husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Rose; his children Anthony (Jennah) Keffler and Korin (Daniel) Bradford; his grandchildren Blake, Dylan, Makenzie, Zachary and Kaitlyn; his sisters Rita McCoy and Maryann (Ken) Tournoux; his brothers Richard (Vickie) Keffler and Paul (Katie) Keffler as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his brother in law Don McCoy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Massillon. Father Edward Gretchko will be officiating. The Mass will be livestreamed beginning at 10a. m. Facebook Live Streaming The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 6-8p.m. with a Rosary Service at 5:30pm., and on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 9:00 – 9:40 before the procession to St. Mary’s for the Mass. Burial with Military Honors will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH. Paquelet Funeral Home & Crematory – 330-833-3222
