David Charles Brunyansky, 73, of North Canton, Ohio, passed away after a short illness on Monday, December 21, 2020, at Aultman Hospital. He is survived by his wife of almost 30 years, Peggy (Alder) Brunyansky; his sister, Martha Brunyansky, of Massillon; step-sons, Robin D. Eaves, of Canton; Dale D. Eaves, of Massillon; Jonathan (Sharon) Eaves, of Brooklyn, New York; eight grandchildren, Marissa, Cody, Madison, Christian, Seth, Trent, Spencer, and Zoey; sister-in-law, Jane (Bill) Dinsmoor of Woody Creek, CO; and brothers-in-law, John (Ella) Alder of Fairbanks, AK, and Robert (Angela) Alder of North Canton, and many much-loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. His parents, Charles and Ruth (Soehnlen) Brunyansky, predeceased him. David graduated from Central Catholic High School and John Carroll University, where he earned a degree in chemistry. He is a veteran of the US Air Force, where he served until December 1973. Upon discharge, he was employed for 42 years in the chemistry lab at Aultman Hospital, retiring in February 2016. He treasured the friends he made there. He was an avid reader, particularly of history, and loved a wide range of music, from classical to blues to weird and obscure. He enjoyed travel, family gatherings, and "just setting a bit" with his dogs at his feet and a cat on his shoulder. Due to the pandemic, a private funeral and burial will be held at St. Clement's in Navarre, but a memorial service welcoming friends and family is planned for May 1 at one of the Plain Township parks (to be announced). We hope you will join us then. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stark County Dog Warden or the Stark County Humane Society would be appreciated.
