David Eller went home to be with his heavenly father on January 23rd after a brief illness. He was born in Canton, January 10th, 1951 to Andy and Inez Eller. He attended Lincoln High School. He married Dolores (Zahm) Eller and spent 51 wonderful years together. Dave proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was retired from the trucking industry, but could not sit idle, so he went back to work every single day. He loved trucking. Family was especially important to him, he loved family get togethers. Dave (Papa) loved his grandchildren; he was always their No. 1 fan. In fact, he was “dad and Papa” to many, he never met a stranger. He knew how to love, and he loved unconditionally. He will forever be remembered as a fun loving (telling jokes and had many “Dave sayings”). He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Dolores Eller, children David (Michelle) Eller, Faith Eller and Melissa Eller (Benson), his grandchildren, Kyle, Seth, Emily, Jared, and Jenna. His sisters and brothers and many nephews, nieces, and many friends. Our family would like to thank all of the ICU nurses at Mercy Medical Center that so lovingly cared for our dad and husband. Please make any donations to Cathedral Of Life Church in Canton; in his honor where he attended and served over 30 years. In accordance with David's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
