David A. Cardenas

David A. Cardenas, age 12 of Massillon, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. He was born on July 7, 1998 in Massillon the son of Alphonso Cardenas and Christine Ivanic. David was attending Massillon Middle School where he was actively involved in playing basketball, baseball, and football. In his spare time he enjoyed playing video games and spending time with his friends. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Ivanic and his uncles, Robert and David Cardenas. He is survived by his mother, Christine Ivanic of Massillon and his father, Alphonso Cardenas of N. Lawrence, his brothers and sister, Joseph, Alphonso, and Anthony all of Massillon, and Arielle Ivanic of Massillon; his sister, Dana Cardenas of Chicago; his grandmother, Carole Ivanic of Chicago; his grandparents, Frank and Joyce Cardenas of Kentucky; several aunts and uncles; he was a loving uncle of Charity, Christian and Armani. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November, 15, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Fr. Raymond Paul, Officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations for the Cardenas Family may be made to Massillon Boys and Girls Club.
