Davey "Corky" Hilliard

Davey “Corky” Hilliard, age 87, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Altercare of Navarre Nursing Home. Davey was an Air Force veteran and served in the Korean War. He retired from Diebold in North Canton. Following his retirement, he worked as a bartender for several years at The Village Tavern in Massillon. Davey was preceded in death by his father and mother, Clyde and Dorothy (Kail) Hilliard, his step mother, Edna Hilliard, and a step son, Abby Zavislak. He is survived by a son, Thomas (Mary) Hilliard of Brewster and daughters, Denise Yalch of Vredenburgh, Alabama and Gale Swinehart of Bonham, Texas along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his sister, Judy. No service is planned at this time. Memorials may be made to Newcomers Chapel of Pigeon Run UMC, 11789 Sarbaugh Street SW, Massillon, OH 44647.
