Darrell Eugene Young

Darrell Eugene Young, 73, of Massillon passed away at his home on May 10, 2018. He retired from Republic Steel after many decades of service and was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Darrell was known as the “grandfather of the town”. He was always there to help and care for anyone in need. Some of Darrell’s favorite things to do included getting ice cream with friends and driving around just to talk. He will be remembered for his kind and compassionate personality and will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Darrell was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Young. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Darrell's life on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 127 Cherry Rd NE, Massillon, OH 44646. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
