Darlene Toth

Darlene Kresovich Toth (1934-2021) left this Earth on January 29, 2021, to join her husband Frank R. Toth (1935-2019) of 46 years, her parents Mike and Agnes Kresovich, two sisters Stella Kresovich and Sadie Kresovich Penley (Delos), and three brothers Steve Kresovich (Mary), George Kresovich, and Mark Kresovich. She is survived by her brother Michael Kresovich, sister Charlotte Kresovich, two sisters-in-law Joanne and Alma Kresovich, many nieces and nephews, great nephews and nieces, and two Godsons. Darlene loved life and lived it to its fullest. She and Frank enjoyed over 20 winters at their Venice, Florida home spending time in the sunshine with their Florida friends. While in Ohio they would regularly take weekend trips to Buffalo, NY where they would join friends for evenings of friendship and music at the Serbo-Croatian Club. She loved her monthly breakfasts with the other retirees of LTV Steel; her lunches with former Emerson Elementary School classmates; fun board game nights with old friends; and she loved attending services, participating, and helping in functions at the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church and Frank’s and her middle of the week coffees and Liebermann’s doughnuts with Father Aleksa Pavichevich. Friday nights were reserved for watching the Massillon Tigers play (She was a 1953 graduate.), while Saturdays were set aside to cheer on the Ohio State Buckeyes. And when March rolled around you could find Darlene glued to the television set watching women’s basketball, especially Dawn Staley, her favorite player and now coach. One of Darlene’s proudest possessions was a t-shirt signed by Coach Staley while she was still a player. Darlene will be missed by all who loved her, but she is now in the wonderful company of the loved ones who went before her. She will always live in our hearts. Friends and family may come to call on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home. A short prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. A private family service will be held at St. George Serbian Orthodox Church. The service will be live streamed on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at https://www.facebook.com/stgeorgenorthcanton. Burial to take place at Massillon Cemetery.
