Darlene J. Arndt-Nyabera, age 70 of Massillon, went Home on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on September 28, 1941 in Canton, Ohio and was the daughter of the late George and Pearl (Miller) Holderbaum. Darlene had worked as a nurse's aide at Rose Lane Health Care Center and also worked as a private home health care provider. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Darlene was a loving mother, friend and care giver to all who crossed her path. May we remember the way she lived, and cherish her memory always. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Shirley Wheeler. She is survived by her husband. Mr. Nyabera, her children, Oneida (Francis, Jr.) Benjamin, Angeletta Thomas, Scott (Lisa) Arndt, Nicholas Arndt, Christopher (Jill) Arndt, Michael Arndt and Chad (Mandy) Arndt, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and her sisters, Nancy and Patty and brothers, Jerry and Buddy. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, August 27th at 10:00 A.M.at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Amie Petrik-Clow and all of the family and friends who kept her in their prayers.
