Darcine “Darci” M. Phillips age 40 of Massillon, passed away Saturday afternoon at her residence. She was born on February 22, 1968 in Massillon to her mother Margaret (Palmer) Brown. Darci was a 1986 Washington High School graduate and had attended the University of Akron. She had worked as a waitress at Applebee’s and most recently for the City of Massillon in the Waste Department. Darci enjoyed making jewelry, reading and writing. She loved nature, especially animals, and spending time on the beach. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Bill J. Phillips with whom she celebrated 5 years of marriage on February 21, 2008; sons, Christian Ruby, Noah Phillips both of Massillon; daughter, Margaret Ann Ruby of Massillon; step sons, Dayne and Austin Phillips both of Beloit, OH; sister, Suzi Brown of Wilmington, NC; maternal aunt, Leslie Speck of Massillon; paternal uncle and aunt, Robert (Rebecca) Palmer of Massillon and a niece Camden Bailey of Wilmington, NC. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Maggie Palmer.
