Danny Selogy, age 74 of Beach City, formerly of Massillon passed away on July 10, 2017. He was born in Massillon on May 30, 1943 to the late John and Virginia (Riley) Selogy. Danny served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked in the Scrap Metal Business and did a variety of jobs. He was known for telling “Tall Tales” and funny stories and leaving people with the gift of laughter. He will forever be remembered as loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters Brenda (Ed Gorby) Weaver and Tiffany Selogy; his step son Tom Cecil; his former wife Mary Selogy; his grandchildren Richard (Erica) Weaver, Marenda Weaver, Cierra Kiko, Jason Daniels, Emily Baker, Lillian and Eddy Gorby; his great-grandchildren Emma Weaver and 2 on the way and his sisters Patsy and Peggy as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters Jean, Mary Lou and Judy and his brothers Robert, John, Lou, Donnie, Dick, Ronnie and Joe. A Gathering of family and friends will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 4-6p.m. Donations can be made to the family to help with expenses. The family wanted to add the following: “And God shall wipe away All tears from their eyes And there shall be no more Death neither sorrow, nor Crying, neither shall there Be anymore pain. For the Former world has passed away” Revelations 21:4
