Danny R Combs

Danny R. Combs, age 69 of Tuscarawas Twp. went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2022. He was born on September 28, 1952 to the late Omer and Betty (Hayes) Combs in Massillon. He was a 1971 graduate of Washington High School. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves. Danny married Mary Ellen McGlothlin on July 19, 1980. Danny was employed as a Machinist for Republic Steel until his retirement. He loved his Lord and Savior and being active at the Massillon Baptist Temple, where he served as the Sunday School Superintendent since 1990 as well as a deacon, trustee and treasurer. Danny enjoyed, fishing, hiking, hunting and most importantly spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of almost 42 years Mary Ellen; his brother James Lee Combs; his brother-in-law Euell (Carolyn) McGlothlin; his sister-in-law Betty Jayne McLaughlin; mother-in-law Deloris McGlothlin; nieces and nephews Gretchen (Jeff) Moore, Jason (Mary) Combs, Chad (Misty) Combs, Nathan (Debbie) Morrison, Benjamin (Richelle) Morrison, James (Brandi) McGlothlin and friends. In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brother Stephen M. Combs and sister-in-law Kathleen (Freeman) Combs. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Massillon Baptist Temple on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 11a.m. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon from 5-8p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
