Danny D. Starcher

July 17, 1961 — May 24, 2023

Danny D. Starcher, 61, of Massillon, passed away on May 25, 2023, at Aultman hospital. He was born on July 17, 1961, in Cuyahoga County to the late Donald and Mary (Samson) Starcher.

He was a truck driver for most of his life before retiring.

Danny enjoyed fishing and hunting at Salt Fork which he did every hunting season with his wife, Carol. He also loved taking his son to the park and reservoir where they shared many laughs over feeding and catching the ducks.

He enjoyed the simple things in life and never allowed materialistic things get in the way of his family. He was an exceptional handy-man or as he said, a “jack-of-all-trades but a master of none.” He could build or fix almost anything.

Danny was also spontaneous and adventurous, never really planning trips but instead just packing up and going.

He was the best role model to his family, always teaching them valuable life lessons and the meaning of hard work and honesty. The best thing Danny gave to his family was not only his wisdom but the time he spent with them making memories.

Not only was he a dedicated father and husband, but he was a beloved “Pappy” to his grandchildren.

Danny will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Carol (Wagoner) Starcher; children Christina (Rob) Smith, Danielle (Fiancé David) Starcher, Brittany Fegancher, Eythan (Tiffany) Starcher, and Stephanie Webster; siblings Ruth (Chuck) Sheriff, Victor "Vic" Starcher, and Sharon Guleff; his grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Nevaeh Starcher, Mya Starcher, Brianna Smith, Alannah Smith, Emma Lindsay, Hunter Adkins, Jacob Adkins, Austin, Cora, Brandon, and Darren Fegancher.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his brother David Starcher.

According to his wishes, cremation will take place and services for the immediate family only will be private.
