Daniel Leroy Bennett

Daniel Leroy Bennett, 83, of Perry Township, went home to his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 29, 2024. Daniel was born on April 7, 1941 in Massillon, OH the son of the late Earl and Mary (Wade) Bennett.

Daniel was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1960 graduate of Washington High School. Following high school he enlisted into the United States Air Force and served our country for four years. Daniel retired from Republic Engineered Steel after more than thirty years of service. He enjoyed watching Western movies, wood working, model trains, and working on cars. Daniel would help anyone in need. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Daniel was a faithful member of Lighthouse Tabernacle Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Elaine Bennett whom he shared 63 years of marriage; sons, Steven (Patricia) Bennett, Timothy (Michele) Bennett, and Paul (Michelle) Bennett; grandchildren, Austin (MacKenzie) Bennett, Megean McDonald, Jillian (Brad) Bell, Avery Bennett, Conner Bennett, Jocelyn (Andy) McConkey, Zachary (Amanda) Bennett, and Macey Bennett; great-grandchildren, Cheyanne Schobert, Evan Bennett, Everett Bell, Bryson Schobert, Brooke Bennett, Thea Bell, Dawson McDonald, Greyson Bennett, and Rio Edwards; sister, Earlene Caswell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Goldie Baker, Jim Huskisson, Virginia Shaw, and Joyce Dennis.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10 - 11 am at Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle with the service at 11 am. Pastor Nick Strange will be Officiating. Private burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
