Daniel K. Paul, 71, of Perry Township, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Daniel, also known by others as “Ralph”, “Fred”, or “Toad” was born on May 23, 1949, in Salamanca, New York, the son of the late Kenneth J. and Phyllis Jean (Kinkead) Paul. He was a United States Army veteran and proudly served our country during the Vietnam Conflict. Ralph worked in the trucking industry for over 25 years and retired from Bally’s as a lifeguard. He enjoyed listening to all sorts of music including 50s, 60s, 70s, and Christmas music. He also enjoyed watching action-adventure movies and playing the drums. He was an avid Massillon Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan, and enjoyed fantasy football. Daniel was a member of the American Legion Post #221 in Massillon. Along with his parents, Toad was preceded in death by his sister, Lynn Michelle “Mickey” Koenig. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Nelson) Paul whom he shared 49 years of marriage; children, Joseph Paul and Gina (Mark) Morais; grandson, Dylan; sister, Jackelyn Ruth “Jackie” (James) Howe; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends. Daniel will be interned on May 21st at 10:15 a.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with military honors.
