Daniel Joseph Bresaw, age 66, a resident of Massillon, OH was born June 13th 1955 in Providence, RI and passed away at 5am on September 5th at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, OH from complications due to Covid19. He spent his early life in Wichita, KS and met the love of his life Cindy at a basketball tournament in Amarillo, TX. It began a 43 year adventure that took them to Ohio where they resided for the last 36 years. He was a man who wasn’t afraid to reinvent himself, always trying to become a better person. His lifelong dream was to become an accountant, and at 50 years young, he graduated with honors from Stark State University and soon found a home at IPG Holdings where he finished his career as a Senior Accountant. He was a rockstar with numbers, but those that knew him best will always remember him for the way he constantly grew and transformed into a kind, generous, pragmatic, loving, funny, precious soul that touched so many lives in so many ways. He loved history, particularly where the Civil War was concerned. He visited every major battle site at least twice. He loved movies, and quoting movie lines. His favorite was from Indiana Jones Last Crusade where the bad guy drinks from the false grail and the Knights Templar says “He chose…poorly”. He dearly loved his three grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them and watching them grow. They enjoyed solving his math puzzles that he created, wrestling, hide-n-seek, and of course eating everything Grandma made. A die-hard Kansas Jayhawks fan, he had a plethora of memorabilia items that he sported proudly every fall. Rock-Chalk-Jayhawks! He is survived by his loving wife Cindy, his oldest son Josh, daughter-n-law Laura and his 3 grandchildren Samantha, Travis, and Trevor. He was preceded in death by his youngest son Jason in 2018 and his oldest brother Tom in 2007. He has 3 surviving siblings and their spouses, Jim and Donna Bresaw of Lititz, PA, Ruth and Bill Gaudet of Wichita, KS, and Susanne and Mark Mollohan of Wichita, KS. In lieu of flowers and cards, please consider a donation to the Hattie Larlham Foundation in Mantua, OH where his youngest son Jason received world class care for 35 years. https://www.hattielarlham.org/support/donate He will be greatly missed!
