Daniel James Harwood

Daniel James Harwood, age 23, passed away on Sunday, May 01, 2016. He was born on June 04, 1992 to Stephanie Purnell. He attended Charles F. Brush High School in South Euclid and attended Kent State University. Daniel owned and operated J&D Contracting. He enjoyed writing poetry, singing to his Mom, and dancing. Daniel had a kind and compassionate heart and was involved in helping the homeless from giving them money to offering employment opportunities. Music was a large part of his life that kept him grounded. He was an all-around people person, who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Daniel will forever be remembered as devoted and loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He is survived by his parents Sly and Stephanie Purnell; his brothers Darrick Evans, Christopher Evans-Hawthorne, Alex Purnell and Jordan Hawthorne; his grandparents Rodney and Brenda Warnock and Arnie and Rebecca Saunders; his aunts, Stephanie Brokenbaugh, Patricia Coleman, Cheri Harper, and Kayla Comeaux; his uncles Leonard Purnell Jr. and Reggie Comeaux; his cousins Courtney Bradney, Alexis Larrison, Kevin Praught, Annaka Coleman, Michael Brokenbaugh, Trinity Comeaux, T.J. Comeaux and Noah Comeaux; his girlfriend Utsavi Iyer and his special friends John Cortnik, Dillon Rios, Christian Daddario, Kaitlyn Hruska, Jordan Freeman, Zay Williams, Timmy Chumita, and Carl Gaffney. Daniel was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers Lillian M. Bird, and Louise Warnock; his great-grandfathers James Bird and Robert Warnock; his great-great grandmother Zelma Warnock; a cousin Xavior Comeaux A Celebration of his life will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Saturday, May 07, 2016 at 12 noon. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
