Daniel (Dan) R Mauger

Daniel (Dan) R Mauger, 62, of Massillon, passed away August 5, 2022, after an extended illness. Dan was born in Massillon, Ohio on May 12, 1960 to the late Maurice (George) and Evelyn (Speicher) Mauger. He was a proud lifelong resident of Perry Township. On January 26, 1980, he married the love of his life, Cathy (Duley) Mauger. Along with his parents, Dan is proceeded in death by his brother, Jack Mauger. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cathy Mauger; daughters, Amy (Kirk) Hixenbaugh, Kelly (Brock) Carpenter, and Becky (Chris) Dolezal. His seven grandchildren; Corinne, Ashlynn, and Kamden Hixenbaugh, Braylan and Reid Carpenter, and Tessa and Grant Dolezal. His brother, Tom Mauger. Also, his loyal dachshunds, Daisy and Astro. As well as many extended family members. Dan was a 1979 graduate of Perry High School. He retired from ASC Industries in August 2015, where greatly enjoyed his role as a team leader. He was a member of the Perry History Club and loved sharing the history of the Mauger family in the area. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, racing R/C and quarter scale cars, and watching NASCAR, and football. Dan had a tremendous love for his family and was very proud of his daughters.
