Daniel D. Cottrill, Sr.

DANIEL D COTTRILL SR AGE 71 Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday Aug 27, Born on June 17, 1944 to the late Otis D and Dale E. Cottrill of Massillon. Dan attended Washington High School and founded Danny's Trucking, followed by Cottrill Wrecking Co. in 1971. He was involved with trucking and wrecking his entire life and could never give up his involvement when he should have been enjoying his retirement years. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing but his health has declined over the years making it difficult to enjoy any outdoor activities. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Norma Jean Cottrill and mother-in-law Marie Fisher. He is survived by his wife, Linda, whom he celebrated 50 yrs of marriage on Dec 29, 2014, son Daniel D Cottrill Jr and fiancé Julie Crouch, daughter & son-in-law Shelley D & John S. Furscik Jr, brother David L.Cottrill, all of Massillon and half sister Betty Hebb of Shinnston W Va. He leaves a grieving Chow named Banchi as well as numerous friends. Per Daniels wishes, there will be no calling hours and a private graveside service will be at the convenience of the family. Dan was a Christian man who embraced his Savior, Jesus Christ fervently.
