Daniel C. Rish

Daniel C. Rish, age 53 of Canton, died on Monday August 31, 2009 at his home. He was born on November 2, 1955 in Canton and was the son of Julia (Dragos) Rish and the late Stanley W. Rish. He was a lifelong area resident. Dan was a very talented and creative musician and teacher. He played guitar with many local bands throughout Northeast Ohio. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and played with the Contemporary Ensemble. He is survived by his wife, Roxana M. (Pfeiffer) Rish, whom he married on July 11, 2000, his mother Julia Rish of Canton, his brothers, Jack Rish of Canton and Larry (Becky) Rish of Columbus, Ohio, his nephew, Derek Rish of Cincinnati, Ohio, his nieces, Natalie Rish and Jennifer Rish of Columbus, his cousins, John Dragos of Copley, Ohio and Cathy Sanford of Canton and many other relatives, friends and students. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with Fr. Brad Helman officiating. Burial will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Road NE, Massillon, Ohio. Memorials are suggested in the name of Daniel C.
