Dan A. Dunn

Dan A. Dunn, 65, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Dan was born on April 7, 1956, in Massillon, the son of the late Howard and Betty Jane (Pickens) Dunn. He was a lifelong resident of Massillon and a 1974 graduate of Washington High School, where he played football for the Tigers. Dan was employed at the Wayne Dalton Door Company. He was a huge sports fan in general, but he particularly followed the Cleveland Browns and Indians. Dan was very athletic and at one time did a lot of weightlifting. Dan was a jokester and could impersonate may famous actors. He was very sociable and outgoing. He could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. He also loved his rock n roll music. Something that was special about Dan, was that he raised both of his children on his own as a single father. He is survived by his children, Sierra (Justin Carpenter) Dunn and Cody Dunn; grandchildren, Anica Dunn, Ioana Hunsinger, Ebin Hunsinger, Dezy Carpenter, and Viviana Carpenter; brother, John Dunn; sisters, Jayne Gore and Suzanne (Calvin) King; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Dan’s life will be held on Monday, February 7 at 6 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
