Dale B. Rohr, 94, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, passed away February 6, 2025. He was born on April 26, 1930.
Faith, family, and farming demonstrated the priorities and pillars of Dale’s life. Dale was a member of SS. Philip & James Catholic Church in Canal Fulton where you would often find him serving as an usher. As a selfless and dedicated family man, Dale always put the concerns of others ahead of his own. Dale’s pride in the multigenerational family farm he tirelessly worked to build was continuously demonstrated by giving tours to schoolchildren and hosting other community events. As a dedicated husband, Dale cared for his wife, Clara, until her passing and often spoke of their square-dancing adventures. He was happiest when he could get the family together for Christmas, Easter, his birthday party, and family reunions.
Throughout his 94 years, Dale was involved in many groups and activities. In his younger years, he was involved in 4H and Future Farmers of America. He was an active Stark County Farm Bureau member, even serving as president, where he advocated and demonstrated his passion for farming and the community. His community involvement extended to service as a Lawrence Township trustee and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Clara Rohr; parents, Melvin and Vesta Rohr; daughter, Cindy Nutter; sisters, Evelyn, Dolores, Gladys, Eileen, Marilyn, and Judy; grandson, Carl; granddaughter, Tammy; and great-granddaughters, Serenity and Sammie.
Dale is survived by his children, Steven (Connie) Rohr, Vicki (Roy) Kemp, Scott (Nova) Rohr, Tim Rohr, Bruce (Rhonda) Rohr, Randy (Barb) Rohr, Dennis (Diane) Rohr, Wayne (Donna) Rohr, and Brian (Laurie) Rohr; sisters, Eleanor (Jim) Scott, and Anna Mary Bates; Tom Cozy (brother-in-law), Kay Peters (sister-in-law), 29 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; long time family friends, Bob and Kathy Powell.
