“Jesus under her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” Dale E. Cary, age 81 of Massillon, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 05, 2021. He was born on April 06, 1940, to the late Charles and Loretta Cary. He was a 1958 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. He married Nancy E. Zehnder on April 06, 1960, and they shared 56 years together until her passing in 2017. Dale worked as a Crane Operator for Timken Steel for 35 years until retirement. He enjoyed bowling, flea marketing, woodworking, and hunting and fishing when he was younger. He was a lifelong member of Massillon Baptist Temple, where he served as an usher, sang in the choir, taking care of landscaping and any place where could be of service. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and be sorely missed. He is survived by his daughters Kelly Lucas and Kathy Sykes; his grandchildren Sean, Stacy and Trevor; his great-grandchildren Jaden, Samantha and Thea; his sister Mary Lou (Paul) Fry as well as a host of family and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Dale was preceded in death by his brothers Paul Cary and Charles Richard Cary. In accordance with his wishes, burial will be private, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
