Cynthia “Cindy” D. Spangler, age 61 of Brewster, passed away on April 19, 2019. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on October 12, 1957 to the late Kenneth and Dorothea (Arthurs) Brown. Cindy formerly worked as a Kitchen Aid for Brewster Parke. She enjoyed shopping, reading, holiday decorating, going to the beach, and most importantly spending time with family and friends. Cindy was a Breast Cancer survivor and courageously fought it twice over the last 5 years. She had a fantastic sense of humor and a loving heart. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Sara Spangler, her sister Susan (Mike) Alexander; her brothers Kenneth (Phyllis) Brown and Bruce (Rebecca) Brown; nieces Shannon (Mark) DiFilippo and Amy (Duane) Scott; nephews Michael Brown and Matthew Brown; 7 great nieces and nephews; her faithful feline companion Hermione, her best friend Dawn, as well as a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Leslie Brown and nephew Rob Brown. A Celebration of Cynthia’s life will be held at the Beach City United Methodist Fellowship Hall on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 1p.m. Reverend Lenora Peters will be officiating.
