Curtis D. Borton, 70, formerly of North Lawrence, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2013 at Alter Care of Navarre, following an extended illness. He was born October 12, 1942 in Quaker City to the late Orville & Eva (Moore) Borton. Curtis retired from Buckeye Feed Mill, Dalton in 1992. Then he went on to his favorite job of driving a dump truck until 2009. He was a member of Anchor Baptist Church. Curtis enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren especially playing cards with them. He also loved to be out in the garage, working on old cars, trucks and tractors. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diana Borton, their four children, Mike Borton, Sherri (Mike) Limbacher, Vickie (Bob) Nettle, and Amy Borton, four grandchildren, Chase, Jill, Jessica, and Torie, four great-grandchildren, Mason, Landen, Caden, and Bryson, two brothers, Orland (Barb) Borton, and Billy (Linda) Borton, and five sisters, Eva Sidel, Jenny (Carl) Laase, Betty Kaser, Joan Miller, and Linda (Eldon) Yoder. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Tillman, Herb, Rudy, and John Borton. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 11:00AM at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Pastor Danny Grimes, officiating. Burial will be in Brookfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Anchor Baptist Church.
