Craig D. Schumacher

Craig D. Schumacher, 69, of Canton, passed away at home with his family on March 29, 2023. He was born on April 7, 1953 to the late Blaine and Helen (Craigo) Schumacher in Canton, Ohio. He was a 1970 graduate of Perry High School.

Craig worked for Perry Local Schools. He attended Reedurban Presbyterian Church, enjoyed driving and taking road trips with his friend Joyce, spending time with his brother Tom and spending holiday dinners with family. Craig will be remembered as a kindhearted and caring person, who took life as it came, overcoming many obstacles, but most importantly he will be remembered as someone who was devoted to his family.

Craig is survived by his loving Sister, Nancy A.(Gordon) Weirich; his nephews Dwight Newsom, Chad (Jennifer) Weirich; his nieces Christine Casey and Jennifer (J.W.)Weirich Mozley; as well as a host of great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Craig was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Newsom; his sister Christine Schumacher; his dear friend Joyce Craig.

A Celebration of Craig's Life will be held at Reedurban Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, April 05, 2023 at 12 noon with Pastor Tom Houston Officiating. The family will receive family and friends at the church from 11a.m. until the time of the service. Craig will be laid to rest by his dear mother at Greenmont Cemetery.
