Corey L. Durst

Corey L. Durst, age 14, of Massillon, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Akron Children's Medical Center. He was born on November 12, 1997 in Akron and was a Massillon resident all of his life. He was a 7th grade student at Massillon Middle School. Corey was a kind and considerate young man. He was happy and outgoing. He loved to play video games, going fishing and watching professional wrestling on TV. He is survived by his parents, Robert L. and Linda J. (Stone) Durst, his sister, April Schlabach, his grandparents, Joann Stone, Darrell Stone and Carol Durst, his great grandmother, Grace Banfield, his great aunt and uncle, Debbie and Tom Hammer, his live-in cousin Elgie Harvey III and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members. A service to celebrate Corey's life will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Minister Rhonda Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday (TONIGHT) from 5-8 P.M. and on Wednesday one hour before the service. Donations may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
