Corbett J. Griffin, Sr.

Corbett J. Griffin, Sr., age 80 of Waynesburg, OH, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at home. He was born in New Philadelphia, Ohio on May 28, 1933 and was the son of the late Corbett and Trudy Griffin. He was a 1951 graduate of McKinley High School. He retired from Ekco Housewares. He loved fishing and golf. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, his grandson Cory and his stepson Gary. He is survived by his son Corbett J. Griffin, II, his daughter-in-law and caregiver, Corinne Johnson, his son LaVerne Griffin, daughter, Gwen Brannan, stepdaughter Deborah and sister Alberta Kiko. Also surviving are many grandchildren and great grandchildren, including his granddaughter Cayla, who cared for him at home. Funeral services will take place on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M.
