Cora Sue Easterly

Cora Sue Easterly, 79, of Massillon, passed away on January 21, 2019. She was born on October 6, 1939 in Cascilla, Mississippi to John Raymond and Leon (Alexander) Lance. She married Franklin L. Easterly, Jr. on January 11, 1958 and they shared 59 loving years together before his passing in 2017. Cora was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and she worked as a realtor for over twenty years with Princehorn Real Estate. In her spare time, Cora enjoyed bowling which she did for many years on a league and she was an avid Elvis Presley fan. Her greatest passion in life was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will be deeply missed by her mother, Leon Williams; children Patty Freund, Mary Sue Stowe, Debbie (Syl) Drobney, Dianne Wallace, David (Becky) Easterly and Donald (Danielle) Easterly; brothers Wayne Lance and Bobby Lance; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Cora was preceded in death by her father John Raymond Lance and 3 brothers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral in Massillon. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. and burial will take place a later date.
