Connie L. Townsend

Connie L. Townsend, age 66 of Perry Township, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2013. She was born on December 30, 1946 in Waynesburg, PA and was the daughter of the late Elroy and Dorothy (Doney) McMannes. She was a Stark County resident since 1986. She was an active member and elder at Reedurban Presbyterian Church, where she taught children's Sunday School. She also assisted in starting the "Merry Knitters". Connie was an ardent Pittsburgh Steeler's fan. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Townsend, Jr. on September 12, 2001, her brothers, Tom McMannes, Pete McMannes, Michael McMannes, Charles McMannes, and Ed McMannes and her infant sister. She is survived by her 5 sons, Donald Townsend, Tracy Townsend, Robert (Heike) Townsend, Charles (Carter) Townsend and Thomas (Melissa) Townsend, her grandchildren, Trista, Brandon, Tiffany, Christopher, Courtney, Cody, Cameron and Ella, her great granddaughter, Abby and her sisters, Mary Ann Patterson, Beatrice Tehi and Sharlee Sanner. A service to celebrate Connie's life will take place on Monday at 11:00 A.M. at Reedurban Presbyterian Church with Dr. Darrell Holmes officiating. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-5 P.M.
