Clifford E. Whipkey Jr.

Clifford E. Whipkey Jr., 86, of Massillon, passed away at home on March 28, 2025.

He was born on March 25, 1939 to the late Clifford and Icel (Hoover) Whipkey in Steubenville, OH.

A 1957 graduate of Washington High School, he served in The United States Army. He managed Active Tire for 24 years, retiring from Hoover Company in 1994, and then worked at Walmart retiring in 2019. Clifford was a member of Massillon Church of Christ, The American Legion, and AARP. Clifford was very dedicated to his family and his church. He loved to take trips and travel, seeing all the beauty of our country. In his youth, he loved to race go karts.

Clifford is survived by his loving wife, Betty (Turner) Whipkey; their children, Rebecca (Mike) Weber and Clifford (Jennifer) Whipkey III; grandchildren, Clifford Whipkey IV, Clint Whipkey, Chad (Emma) Whipkey, Alec (Kylar) Weber, and Jordan Weber; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Clifford V, and Boston; sister, Linda Dottavio; sister-in-law, Donna Whipkey; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special sister-in-law, Rita Miller; and special neighbors, Betty, Becky, Maryann, Karen and Kirsten.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Whipkey, James Whipkey, and Bill Whipkey.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 6, 2025, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, 11:00 am at the Massillon Church of Christ, with Evangelist Rick Kelly, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
