Clifford Whipkey III

Clifford E. Whipkey III, 50, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2025 at Aultman Hospital Massillon ER.

He was born on June 1, 1974 to the late Clifford E. Whipkey Jr. and Betty (Turner) Whipkey in Massillon, OH.

A 1992 graduate of Washington High School, he was a tool & die maker for Crown Cork and Seal. He earned his journeyman's card in 1996. Cliff was devoted to his wife and family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, football, traveling, hiking and spending time at the family cabin on Piedmont Lake, where he was a member of the Akron Boat Club. He also enjoyed coaching his boys' baseball and football teams. Cliff was a natural at fixing things and often was the go to for family and friends for auto and home repairs. During his father's illness, Cliff was an active and caring part of his care team. He was always available to love and support the family.

In addition to his mother, Cliff is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Jennifer (McArthur) Whipkey; their children, Clifford E. Whipkey IV, Clint Whipkey, and Chad (Emma) Whipkey; grandson, Clifford E. Whipkey V; father-in-law, Jerry McArthur; sister, Rebecca (Mike) Weber; brother-in-law, Jerry J. (Michelle) McArthur; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Margaret J. McArthur.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, Ohio, with Rick Kelley, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
