Clifford J. Schoenfeld, 79, of Massillon, passed away on August 2, 2021. He was born on December 24, 1941 in Massillon to the late Harry and Anna (Wazlavek) Schoenfeld. He began his career at Superior Meats then transitioned into a meat inspector for the USDA. Following his employment with USDA, Cliff worked as an operator at IMC Agrico where he retired from after 10 years of service. Cliff was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and a member of the Massillon FOE #190. He could best be described as a simple man who deeply loved his family. His devotion to his children and grandchildren did not go unnoticed. He was always supporting them when he could and will always be their biggest fan. His simplicity also extended into his love for the outdoors. Cliff was an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved all things nature like watching birds. His family will remember him most for his kind heart and sense of humor which was sure to put a smile on your face. He will be deeply missed by his children Dana Cottle, Debbie (Gary) Brown, Cliff (Holly) Schoenfeld, Jeremiah Schoenfeld, Anissa (Ernie) Klein and Abbey (Khyri Davis) Schoenfeld; 13 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; and siblings Ed “Pill” (Billie) Schoenfeld, Roy (Gail) Schoenfeld and Gretchen Heffner. In addition to his parents, Cliff was preceded in death by his siblings Marie Specogna, Harry Schoenfeld, Charles Schoenfeld, Anna Radabaugh and Paul Schoenfeld. A memorial service will be held on August 9, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Massillon. Calling hours will begin at 10 a.m. at the church until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place after the service at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
