Cleon Brenneman, age 80 of Canton, passed away Friday, January 05, 2007 at Aultman Hospital following a lengthy illness. Cleon was born in Marshallville, OH on December 18, 1926 to the late A.L. and Buelah Brenneman. He graduated from Orrville High School and the U.S. Marine Corp. serving our country in WWII. Cleon owned and operated V.E.B. Transportation Company. He was an active member of Massillon Baptist Temple, where he served as a deacon and usher. In his spare time he enjoyed collecting coins and stamps. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Day and Selma Blackwood. He is survived by his loving wife Violet (Villard) with whom he married on June 12, 1948 and brothers; W.E. (Susan) Brenneman of Orrville and A.L. (Margie) Brenneman, Jr. of FL and his sister Carolyn (Ronald) Kinney of Orrville, OH A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Cecil Thayer of Massillon Baptist Temple will be Officiating.
