Cleo J. Kelley, 93, of Massillon, passed away on August 26, 2021. She was born on November 3, 1927 in Massillon to the late Thomas and Martha (Williams) Longworth. Cleo was a 1945 graduate of Washington High School. She worked and retired from the Tyson Credit Union where she also met the love of her life, Charles Kelley. Cleo was a longtime and active member of Epworth United Methodist Church where she devoted much of her time helping with baking, crafting and quilting. In addition to her church involvement, Cleo was a very dedicated and passionate volunteer for the Salvation Army where she spent many years and countless hours helping those in need, even volunteering up until 2016. In addition to her community involvement, Cleo also volunteered at Massillon and Perry local schools where she would read to the children. Her tender heart and compassion was shown with her own family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the absolute light of her life. She will be deeply missed by her children Susan Meese, Becky (Gary) Longworth-Smith and Timothy (Cathy) Kelley; daughter-in-law Judi Kelley; grandchildren Lori (Jenn) Kelley, Kris (George) Jones, Lisa (Chad) Tope, Amber (Chris) Stewart, Sara Kelley, Austin (Colin) Chesley, Cary Smith, Brittany (Ben) Evans, Angie (Will) Wines, Gracie Kelley, Timmy Kelley , Lucas Kelley and Riley Meese; and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Cleo was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Charles Kelley, her granddaughter Rachel Kelley, daughter Elizabeth “Libby” Benkovich-BamBam and her son Charles “Chuck” Kelley. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 31st from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Paquelet &Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon. A celebration of her life will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Lee Peters officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Massillon Salvation Army, 315 6th St NE, Massillon, OH 44646.
