Claudia Binkley

Claudia Beth Binkley, age 66, loving mother of seven, and adoring wife to husband David Binkley, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, June 23, 2024, after a courageous year-long battle with colon cancer. Claudia was born in 1957 in Canton, Ohio, to Dale and Roberta Rosenbery.

Claudia's upbringing, with her three other siblings, instilled in her a deep sense of compassion and generosity, traits she carried throughout her life. She dedicated herself to caring for others, both within her family and in her community. Her nurturing spirit extended into her role as a mother, where she lovingly raised her children with the same values she cherished from her own upbringing. Beyond her family life, Claudia was known for her warmth and ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued. Her kindness touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She met her husband, David in 1972 while at a church play called “Tell It Like It Is”, which conveyed the message of God’s salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. They fell in love and got married in 1975 and then headed north to Alaska to begin their beautiful marriage together. As a mother, she was generous and kind, and loved her 2 daughters and 5 sons more than anything. Claudia’s 16 grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She adored each one of them and loved nothing more than spending time with them, playing games, building Legos, being the biggest and loudest fan at their sports games, and creating lifelong memories. Claudia was such a radiant sister in Christ to her church family at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Massillon, always looking for areas to serve and be a blessing in so many different ways. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends whose lives she touched immensely.

We know that we can’t have you here on this earth with us, but we rest assured knowing you are walking the streets of gold in heaven. Till we see you again, to a wonderful woman, amazing wife and a beautiful mother and grandmother.

Claudia is survived by her husband; David Binkley, 2 daughters; Sara (David Proctor) and Mindy (Marcus McVay), 5 sons; Brian Binkley (Megan), Aaron Binkley (Amanda), John Binkley (Briana), Nathan Binkley (Ashley) and Jesse Binkley, 11 granddaughters; Makayla, Gracie, Katherine, Alyssa, Emma, Elaina, Maisley, Zoey, Mollie, Katie, and Evelyn, 5 grandsons; Joshua, John, Dillan, Micah and Elias, mother; Roberta Rosenbery, sister; Denise DePasquale, and brother; Curtis Rosenbery.

She is preceded in death by her father; Dale Rosenbery, and sister; Karen Young.

Visitation will be held on July 1, 2024 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 3955 Wales Ave. NW, Massillon. The funeral service will begin at 11:30am on July 1, 2024. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, a love offering may be made in Claudia's name to the Cornerstone Baptist Church Mission's Program.
