Clarence P. "Corky" Fenton, Sr., age 84 of Massillon passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Affinity Medical Center. He was born on July 3, 1928 in Massillon and was the son of the late Walter J. & Harriet L. (Robinson) Fenton. He served his country with the U.S. Army from 1947 through 1950. He had worked for 33 years at the former A&P Store and had also worked for 15 years at Ohio Edison. He had served as a camp host at Atwood Lake for 20 years. Corky was part of the gang who had coffee at McDonald's every morning. He enjoyed camping, fishing and listening to "Big Band" music. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn "Kay" Fenton in July of this year, his granddaughter Jayme Lyn Croston, his brothers, Charles Fenton and Walter Fenton and his sisters, Eileen Bryan and Harriet Zorger. He is survived by his children, Richard Porter, Edye Cary, Ernestine Flynn and Clarence P. (Kellie) Fenton, Jr., 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and his sister Mary Gardiner. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-7 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home. A service will follow at 7 PM with Fr. Thomas Cebula officiating.
