Clarence J. Francis

Clarence J. Francis, 82 of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Clarence was born on October 14, 1934 in Raven Rock, WV the son of the late Clarence McKinley and Bessie (Stewart) Francis. Clarence retired from the Timken Company in 1998 after 28 ½ years of service. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spoiling his grandchildren, taking long extensive car rides, walking and riding his bicycle. Clarence was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Delilah Francis in 2000, daughter, Sheilla Dougherty, great-granddaughter, Serenity Grace Morgan, daughter-in-law, Cindy, and siblings, Darlene, Geneva, and Pauline. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Nova (Scott) Rohr, Michael (Paula) Francis, William Francis, Rhonda (Bruce) Rohr, and Glen (Joelle) Francis; 21 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Pearl (Robert) Seavers, Shirley (Harry) Kutscher and Betty Lou Judge; and brothers, Robert (Mary Ann) Francis and Howard (Rose Ann) Francis. A Celebration of Clarence’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
